All About the Engine Air Cleaner Filter

Several important RV maintenance tasks tend to get overlooked by owners. It doesn’t hurt to remind them of the #2 most commonly overlooked item—the engine air cleaner filter.

Here’s why: the air filter has a vacuum indicator that tells the customer when a filter has too much dirt to be efficient. If that vacuum indicator shows the levels are good, the customer may make the mistake of not changing the filter every two years

Just remember the 1-2-3 rule of the top maintenance items:

  1. Every Year: Oil, Oil Filters, Fuel Filters

  2. Every Two Years: Engine Air Cleaner Filter

  3. Every Three Years: Air Dryer Filter
