Q: What is the lottery system?
A: You asked for it – and we’re making it happen! No more sitting at your computer, clicking refresh and panicking! This lottery system is designed to make the registration process as stress-free as possible. Different than the past, AIM Club Rally registration will no longer be first-come, first-served. The new lottery system will allow members to sign up within a 24-hour window for an equal chance to have the ability to attend a rally.
Q: How does the lottery system work?
A: You will receive an email when the lottery opens. You will have 24 hours to enter the lottery for a chance to get selected to purchase tickets. You must enter the lottery with the same email address as your AIM login. After the lottery has closed, you will receive an email that lets you know whether or not you have been randomly selected. If you are selected, you have 48 hours to complete your registration. If you are not selected, you will be automatically added to the waitlist.
Q: How much does it cost to enter the lottery?
A: Entering the lottery is free. If you are randomly selected for the opportunity to register for the event, you will be required to pay during registration.
Q: How many times can I enter the lottery?
A: Once.
Q: How much time will I have to enter the lottery once it goes live?
A: You will have 24 hours to enter the lottery for the chance to get selected to purchase tickets.
Q: Is the lottery first-come, first-served?
A: No, it does NOT matter what time you enter the lottery during the 24-hour lottery entry window. All valid entrants will be entered into the lottery and randomly selected for the chance to register for the event.
Q: What happens if I miss the 24-hour lottery window?
A: If you miss the 24-hour lottery window, you will be able to join the waitlist once event registration has concluded.
Q: Will lottery entrants be selected at random?
A: Yes, the selection process is random.
Q: How will the lottery entrants be selected?
A: After the lottery submission window closes, all members who have enrolled in the lottery for a specific event will be entered into a database that will process the registrants and automatically generate the list of AIM Club members who gain access to register. Gravity Forms is the tool which will collect the entries (NASA, Nike, ESPN and Airbnb also use Gravity Forms!) and custom code will generate the final list.
Q: How will I know if I have been selected in the lottery?
A: You will receive an email from the AIM Club team to inform you that you have been selected to register for the rally. This email will include a special link to register for the rally.
Q: How will I know if my name was not selected in the lottery?
A: You will receive an email from AIM Club to inform you that you have not been selected to access registration. You will be automatically added to the waitlist.
Q: Am I allowed to enter the lottery with a different email address than the one I use to login to the AIM website?
A: No, you must use the same email address as your AIM login to enter the lottery and complete registration. This ensures we only receive submissions from active members. If you enter a different name and/or email address, your entry will be denied.
Q: How many days will I have to register for the event?
A: If your name is selected during the lottery, you will have two (2) days to complete event registration, which includes submitting payment. You must complete registration during this 48-hour window. If you miss the registration window, you will forfeit your space at the event. You will be able to join the waitlist after the event registration window is over.
Q: I was chosen in the lottery. What happens if I miss the 2-day window to register?
A: If you miss the 2-day registration window, you forfeit your space at the event. You will be able to join the waitlist after the registration window is over.
Q: I was not chosen in the lottery. How do I join the waitlist?
A: You will be automatically added to the waitlist.
Q: Can I transfer my event registration to someone else?
A: No, registrations are nontransferable. You are NOT allowed to transfer your registration to someone else nor purchase a ticket in someone else’s name. If you do this, you will automatically be removed from the attendee list. Your registration will also be refunded and assigned to the next person on the waitlist.
Q: Can I purchase registration for another user on my account?
A: No. You may only purchase registration for yourself using your own account. If you register with your email address and a different attendee’s name, your registration will be voided and your fee will be refunded. Note: if you purchase a 1-person or 2-person event registration, you are allowed to register one (1) additional guest. This guest registration can include someone else’s name.
Q: What happens if I am not selected in the lottery?
A: If you are not selected during the lottery, your name will automatically be added to the waitlist.
Q: What if I register for the event but can no longer attend? Can I pass my registration off to a friend?
A: If you can no longer attend the rally, please notify the AIM Club team as soon as possible. We will take care of refunding your purchase. No, you can not pass your registration off to anyone. If your friend would like the chance to attend, they can join the waitlist.
